Bernard Harwood entered real estate in 1986. During his 35 year career, Bernard has engaged in all facets of real estate including subdivision development, homebuilding, commercial leasing, residential brokerage, and property & association management.
Bernard is a graduate of the University of Alabama and is active in numerous associations including the Homebuilders Association, The Association of Realtors, the Community Associations Institute, and the Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa.

- State and local Director of the Homebuilders Association
Bernard was the broker and manager of the local Coldwell Banker Realty Company in the early 90s where he gained valuable sales and marketing knowledge. He formed Harwood Real Estate in 1993.
During his 35 year career in real estate, Bernard has successfully delivered hundreds of transactions to the closing table, and in so doing, has built a reputation based on honesty, integrity, and being straightforward with his clients.
